This programme is aimed at those who have been involved or are still involved in sport or who have gym experience. Having lived a life of training and working out to compete and now retired from competitive sport I felt I was missing that spark or a programme to follow that I looked forward to doing. I missed testing myself and embracing getting comfortable being uncomfortable. For a while I felt lost and felt I had lost not just my strength and aerobic capacity but my identity as an athlete too. The aim of this programme is to bridge the gap between working out to compete and working out to look and feel good for everyday life. The everyday athlete is forever chasing that 1% improvement daily. This programme will help to improve how you move, build strength and size while improving your overall work capacity. It will help you to live your life, as an everyday athlete. The programme is split into a 4 day week, upper, lower, full body and a weekend total body work capacity workout. It takes in to account the importance of rest between workouts so that you look forward to training and importantly you leave each workout feeling trained, not drained so that you can go about the rigours of every day life. This programme will leave you both looking and feeling great while providing a programme that transitions you from competing against others, to now competing against yourself in order to become a better version of you! For this programme you will need access to: bands - barbells - plates - dumbbells - kettlebells - a piece of conditioning kit such as a ski erg, rower, bike erg, assault bike or treadmill.
